WebJun 26, 2024 · From what I have read, the CMMG Mutant is a better platform for a Ar-ish pattern that shoots 7.62x39. It is also more expensive. From doing a quick and dirty esitimation I can be into a KS-47 10.5" for a little under $600 and that includes a couple of Magpul mags as well. This will not be a SHTF single go to rifle. The PSA KS-47 reliably brings together the ergonomics of an AR-15 with the magazines and 7.62×39 caliber of the AK-47. Reliability, accuracy, ergonomics, and price of the KS-47 are all great. A decade or so ago, were inexpensive and offered shooters a battle-proven rifle design that could take hellacious abuse and still keep shooting.
